LPL Financial's Sallie Larsen Honored With HR Industry Award

SAN DIEGO - Oct. 15, 2015 - Leading retail investment advisory firm and independent broker/dealer LPL Financial LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:LPLA), today announced that Sallie Larsen, LPL managing director and chief human capital officer, has been honored by Human Resource Executive magazine, a leading industry publication. Five HR executives are honored annually by the publication for making significant contributions to their organizations and for exemplifying the increasingly strategic role of HR in business today.

"Sallie has played a key role in leading the significant transformation of our firm into a destination organization, attracting and retaining the top talent in the industry to deliver the best service experience to our clients," said Mark Casady, LPL chairman and CEO. "On behalf of LPL, I want to congratulate Sallie for receiving this honor."

For 27 years, Human Resource Executive magazine has honored industry excellence through this annual award competition. Honorees were chosen based on criteria that included: ability to handle significant problems in the HR field, role and success in establishing the HR function as an integral part of the organization, management skills as demonstrated within the HR function and contributions to the profession. Honorees are featured in the October issue of Human Resource Executive.

"Since taking the HR helm at LPL Financial, Sallie has played an instrumental role in transforming critical areas such as talent management and leadership development - and in fostering a more results-oriented culture," said David Shadovitz, editor and co-publisher of Human Resource Executive. "Along with our four other honorees, she demonstrates the kind of impact HR can have on an organization in today's fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment."

Larsen was brought to LPL in 2012 as a change agent to transform the firm's Human Capital function. She has created strategic imperatives for the Human Capital function to attract, develop and retain talent, accelerate LPL's leadership agenda and enhance the performance culture. In three years at LPL, she has had a dramatic impact on the Human Capital function, employee engagement and overall business performance through of a breath of programs and initiatives.

Larsen joined LPL with more than 25 years of HR experience. She has served as chief human resources officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank/Office of Finance, a managing vice president of human resources for Capital One Financial Corporation, senior vice president of human resources for Marriott International, and vice president of human resources and communications for TRW Inc.

Larsen earned a Master of Arts in communications from Purdue University, a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from California Lutheran University, and a certificate in executive leadership coaching from Georgetown University.
